Due to the lack of regulation in the US, there is no standardized definition for the term "toxin-free." At Crunchi, we have defined toxin-free as the following: a product is considered toxin-free if it does not contain any ingredients known to cause harm or health hazard based on available ingredient data and research. Each ingredient in our products undergoes a rigorous 30-step screening criteria to be considered safe for use. .
Our entire product line is formulated with gluten-free ingredients and tested for gluten for individuals with gluten sensitivities or wishing to avoid gluten. Most, but not all Crunchi products are made in a gluten free facility, however, the ones that are not manufactured in a gluten-free facility have a stringent protocol to prevent cross-contamination. Additionally, our Everluxe® Lip Crayon and Hydrogloss® Lipgloss have been laboratory tested to confirm gluten is non-detectable (< 20 ppm). The testing performed is the same method and standard required by the FDA for food products to make a gluten-free claim. We are currently expanding our gluten testing across the rest of our product line.

* Our most recent revision of our popular Hydrogloss® Lip Gloss isn't considered vegan due to the use of the ingredient organic beeswax. Beeswax is technically an insect by-product and therefore cannot be declared vegan. The beeswax used in our products is 100% organic and sourced humanely. Absolutely no bees were harmed in the sourcing of the beeswax. It is also highly filtered so any naturally occurring bee parts have been removed before use in our cosmetics.
All Crunchi products are Leaping Bunny certified cruelty-free. Our products are tested, on humans, never animals. We firmly believe that no animal should be harmed or sacrified in the name of beauty and personal care.
We are proud to say Crunchi products are manufactured in the USA, with globally sourced ingredients, with the exception of our wooden pencils and accessories.
* Our wooden cosmetic pencils are manufactured in Germany which is known for the highest quality wooden pencil production in the world. Our cosmetic acccessories are produced internationally in American-owned factories with extremely high social, ethical and environmental standards and pass SA 8000 social audits as well as ISO 9000 and ISO 14001 environmental quality audits.
