Q: I noticed that the Daylight® Advanced contains bakuchiol and I’ve read it is a plant-based alternative to retinol, is this true?

A: Yes! Bakuchiol is an excellent plant-based alternative to retinol. Studies have shown that bakuchiol not only performs as well, if not better than traditionally used retinol but is also much less irritating and tolerated by those with sensitive skin types. Despite having the same skin benefits as retinol, bakuchiol has a very different mechanism of action and is the choice of many who prefer to avoid retinol due to safety concerns.

Q: Does Daylight® Advanced contain Dimethicone or any silicone ingredients?

A: No, Daylight® Advanced does not contain dimethicone or silicone ingredients. Most skincare companies include silicone-based ingredients in their skincare formulations to provide shine to the skin, essentially "faking a natural glow." Daylight® Advanced achieves this natural glow without silicone ingredients because of its efficacious levels of active ingredients, including azelaic acid, bakuchiol, vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, and organic plant oils, none of which sit on top of the skin as barrier-forming ingredients. All of our nourishing ingredients are designed to be readily available to the skin.

Q: Should a patch test be performed before using Daylight® Advanced?

A: Daylight® Advanced was formulated to be great for all skin types. However, it is always recommended to conduct a patch test before using any new skincare product. To conduct a patch test, apply a small amount of product behind the ear. Leave the product on for 5 minutes and rinse thoroughly. If you experience no discomfort or other adverse reactions, use Daylight® Advanced as directed. If you experience any swelling, blistering, or redness that doesn’t abate after 15 minutes, discontinue use.

It's worth the money. The

"It's worth the money. The texture is alot smoother and I apply it on top of my smart primer. The smart primer makes my face dry. I wish they could change the texture just like the daylight advanced. Hopefully, that will be in the works soon. The shipping cost is outrageous. That's why alot of my customers don't want to order. I make the purchases for them and we divide the shipping cost plus the taxes. Do you have any suggestions to make this better? I would love to hear your feedback."

Good under matte makeup products

"I overall enjoy this product, but find it to be a little “wet,” almost like I need to give it several minutes to dry down. It’s best used under a dryer makeup product, which is a little disappointing given that I prefer to just use a tinted moisturizer. A little goes a long way, but I think I find it as hydrating as I do because I ALWAYS use it over an essence, or else I believe it would be a bit too lightweight for my dry skin."

"This cream is a pleasure to use. A little really goes a long way. It reminds me to apply it gently and not slather on huge amounts. It’s not greasy at all, but works on my dry skin. It is very minimalist. I don’t want to spend a long time putting on or taking off anything on my face. This cream goes on quickly and easily and works best when you are gentle. I love the light, clean scent. It does not it cause my eyes to burn or tear. It absorbs quickly, and is easy to apply Crunchy sunscreen, concealer, and blush over it. So, that’s a great way to treat my face. I can touch my face throughout the day with no grease but still no dryness. I thought that thick grease was needed. It’s not. I appreciate the reviews written by customers. They were very helpful and true. I recommend only buying from the official Crunchi website. It feels honest."
