For Best Results:
1. Apply the mascara by gently wiggling the brush end of the wand from the base of the lashes to the tips. Repeat across your lash line, making sure to catch every lash.
2. To build extra volume and drama, apply 1-2 additional layers of mascara to the lashes.

Pro Tip: To prime your Shattered® Mascara before first use
1. Unscrew the wand until you can move the brush within the tube.
2. Make sweeping clockwise and counterclockwise passes with the brush against the inside wall of the tube.
3. Gently plunge the wand up and down to make sure the mascara saturates the bristles for volume-building application.

Pro Tip: When applying additional layers, alternate between eyes to give each layer time to adhere to the lashes. This will create stay-in-place, clump-free lash drama.

Packaged in a recyclable glass tube with a BPA-free, BPS-free, and phthalate-free plastic cap, wand, and wiper. Placed in an 100% recyclable and biodegradable, paper carton.

A: Fortunately, the ingredient Acrylates/Ethylhexyl Acrylate Copolymer in our Shattered® Mascara is not considered a microplastic because the physical properties of the polymer are permanently modified during downstream end-use. Additionally, Acrylates/Ethylhexyl Acrylate Copolymer follows the European standards on polymer and copolymer ingredients which restricts the use of microplastics.

Q: What is sodium hydroxide?
A: Sodium hydroxide is an alkaline salt commonly used in both traditional and cleaner cosmetic brands to adjust the product's pH. Shattered® Mascara contains <0.2% sodium hydroxide simply as a pH adjuster necessary for product stability and efficacy. Sodium and hydroxide ions are common natural mineral substances present in many natural soils, groundwater, plants, and in animal tissues. Sodium hydroxide is commonly used to counteract acidity in swimming pool water or in drinking water. Additionally, the US FDA classifies this salt as “generally recognized as safe” (GRAS) ingredient and permits it to be added to food and beverages for the alteration of acidity and for stabilization. Sodium hydroxide in high and concentrated quantities has the potential to be irritating to the skin.

"I love this mascara! I have sensitive eyes and wear contacts everyday, and this is the first mascara I’ve ever tried that doesn’t irritate my eyes! I’ve been able to wear this every day for almost a week with no issues. This mascara is long lasting, doesn’t flake much at all, and doesn’t clump up! It is more of a wet formula, but once it dries on your lashes, it doesn’t smudge. It doesn’t give a super dramatic look, it’s more of a natural everyday look, which I prefer.
